As a big fan of the movie Harold and Maude and also of the Sutro Bath ruins site - I have often watched the movie and tried to figure out how the shot was made where "Maude" slips through the hole on the observation deck area of Sutro Baths ruins site. Anyone have info about the filming of the movie at the site and how the shot was done? Was a hole actually cut and then repaired? I have looked many times but have been unable to figure exactly where it was done.
