We have 4 grandchildren...3 girls, ages 3,1 and 3 months and one grandson, aged 3...I only get to see the littlest one and I am thrilled to be able to do that on a regular basis...It is awesome to look at your grandchild and see the resemblance to their parents, or even yourself!!! I have hauled out baby pictures of my daughter to show the kids how much her niece looks just like her when she was 3 months old! It's a constant walk down memory lane that is so enjoyable.....the best part is that since I am Grammy and not mommy, when they are sick or grouchy I can give them back! LOL......My grandson was on the phone with me Saturday from St. Louis where it was snowing. I asked him if it were snowing "a little bit" or "alot"? At 3 years old, he thought about that a minute, left to go look out the window and when he came back he said, "Grammy, it's snowing alot of little bits."...I wrote that in my journal I was so delighted. being a Grandmother is one of God's gifts to help us through grey hairs and creaking joints...

We have 13 grandchildren, ranging in age from 13 years old to the newest born the 20th of February. They are what keeps life worth living, with aging body and world travails. Each one is unique and special and holds an important place in my heart.

My daughter who lives the closest to us, has the most to contend with in regards to our relationship to her children. The two oldest question every veggie they eat and rate them as to how they compare with "granny peas" etc. I believe she might just have to take up gardening. :>)

He lives in Texas, and, we only gotten to see him over Christmas & New Years, but, Grammie (me) gets to listen to him talk on the phone.~~smile~~

Just one and he is now 4 months old. He's the baby that the doctors said should be aborted because my daughter in law was on meds that are notorious for causing birth defects. Our God says though shall not kill and we trust our God. Therefore Zachary was born and he is doing fine!

My grandmother, who is now 88 years old, has 8 children, 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren (so far), and (I think) 2-3 great-great-grandchildren. She is a very spry woman who can tell you EVERY birthday (even the in-laws) and anniversary, as well as how old they all are and how long they have been married. If there is divorce/remarriage involved, she can tell you the same information about all the ex-es, as well as which children go with which partner. She keeps a written record, but doesn't use it unless someone doubts her word. And, she sends out birthday cards to each and every one, with anniversary cards for her own children. With the kids, she usually sends a card that tells how old the child is. She has never been wrong that anybody knows of.
