How about this: How would one describe the Trinity to an unbeliever, or to a believer that is struggling with this concept (for lack of a better term)? This is something that I believe, and have a fairly good elementary analogy for, but when asked to go further, I was stumped as to how to proceed. The Holy Spirit will give an answer, of course, but I'd also like to see y'all's responses.

Peace and blessings!

Does your analogy involve the egg or the apple Brother Richardson? Those are the two I've heard the most. Shell, white, and yolk. Each separate and distinct, yet each part of the whole. The same illustration works with an apple. Skin, meat, and core.

Now as for my suggested subjects, I've been enjoying sharing things the Lord has been showing me in the classes and sermons I've been hearing lately, and what God has shown me in my daily meditations. If anyone wants to have a conversation that's fine, or they can just be edified. Who knows who may benefit? The web is an amazing thing that can be used for good as well as bad. Praise God!

I also like to post the prayer requests from my prayer for Muslims fellowship. I don't expect every reader to pray, but I know from feedback I've received that the circle of people praying is larger than the original group because of the web.

I tend to favor topics that challenge the mind; that does not favor easy or thought-less answers; topics that are not black and white but requires one to consider our complete body of faith (beliefs, etc.), use our big brains in the discussions. For example, I would love to hear the heart of someone like the late Dr. W.A. Criswell of First Baptist, Dallas, in a forum such as this where he could be completely candid. Dr. Criswell appeared to love the Lord just as the Apostle Paul loved the Lord. I'd like to hear his "midnight hour" thoughts regarding segregation during his long tenure at First Baptist.

What a wonderful question from a wonderful lady!!! We are just so blessed in the AME church to have ministers like yourself and the Rev. Alton Paris. Thank God for you all.

I am primarily interested in topics related to the spiritual, mental, and physical needs/desires of humankind. This subject area is of course as broad as the ocean. I particularly like hearing about sermons that were preached recently, discussions about the scriptures, and personal testimonies.

I enjoy the discussions about the Bible, African/African- American History or current events. This particular bulletin board appears to be most inspiring and educational. Thank you Rev. Fisher for this site.

Finally, I am particularly excited about the potential of the AME church based on its track record. I am a firm believer that this denomination of Jesus's church is going to do even greater things in spreading the gospel. This denomination is a testament to the faith of Richard Allen in 1787. I believe that this church will more aggressively pursue ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT in order to expand God's mission to the world. I have heard of a number of ventures such as an AME hotel in Denver, Colorado, an apartment complex in Athens, Ga, and a commercial office plaza in the 1st episcopal district. I am certain that there are more ventures and if any of you senior AME's know about them, it would greatly appreciated if you mention them on this site.

Thanks again for asking this question Rev. Rogers. I continue to pray for your recovery and your church.
