How can we talk about Jesus and not love one anothergreenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread |
For me as a Christian whenever I think of Jesus I automatically think, and feel love! And living in a town that is very fundementalist has it's challenges. For so much that is preached in my town is "the law" and when new members come to my church they are stunned to hear the word love used so often as describe God and Jesus. I have watched the transformation of one member in particular, who was shy, always told me how bad she was and how she was going to hell. She is 49 and had never heard of grace. In six months there has been a change and she is another person, because she is learning how much God and jesus loves her. I often wonder why it is so hard to tell another person that God loves them. Often conversations begin with, this is what you have done wrong. I know when I became a Christian it was the message of God's love that drew me to him. Have we told someone that God loves them, lately?
