I love hymns so it's always hard for me to say which is my favorite. But since the theme is faith, that can almost narrow it down (smile).

In no particular order, here's my list:

1. It is well 2. My faith looks up to Thee 3. Standing on the Promises 4. Great is Thy faithfulness 5. I'd Rather have Jesus-George Beverly Shea 6. No, Never Alone 7. Where Could I Go But to the Lord 8. Because He Lives

I'll stop there. Until the bicentennial hymn book #3 & 8 were not in the AME hymnal. Numbers 5 and 7 are not in the AME hymnal.

There are two hymns in particular I sing for inspiration. The first is "Blessed Assurance" and the second is "When Peace Like a River." I find myself singing these hymns throughout the week, several times a day. Whether in my office in the church, or in my study, the verses are so inspirational!
