Hi all,

I wish to use the Schneider adapter ring (product number #92-056002) which will allow me to use my Nikkor 80 or 135mm enlarging lenses with a Copal #1 shutter for macro work.

Could anyone using this setup advise on which lens would be the best to use and what compensation (if any) is needed to work out correct exposure. Is the method the same as with a standard LF macro lens or do I need to take into consideration other factors?

Just had another thought. How does using this combo effect bellows draw? Would 1:1 using the 80mm be 160mm of draw?

You'd use whichever lens gives the repro ratio you want at the working distance you want..or vice-versa. It's probably easiest to work out what repro ratio you want, set the appropriate extension, then move the entire camera back and forth for best focus. You can of course do it the usual way.

Exposure is that same as with an ordinary lens and the usual extension compensation applies.

You always need exposure compensation when working at macro distances. It's worked out in exactly the same way for any lens and bellows extension.
F number x Bellows 'draw'/lens focal length; gives you the effective aperture.
Or (bellows draw/focal length)squared x time; gives you the correction to the exposure time based on the marked aperture.
