Can anybody tell me what a whiteing chicken is and where they came from? The reason I ask this is I was looking at some fly tying material and found a high dollar rooster hackle that was labeled from a whiteing chicken. I had never heard of a whiteing chicken before, is it a breed of its own?

Never mind! I just found out everything I need to know. It is spelled WHITING. It is the name of a farm that raises chickens specifically for fly tying material. You people might want to check out his web site and look at some of his fancy chickens... At what some of the prices for his hackle you would think the feathers are made out of pure gold.
