Cool Gail.

I fully understand the name confusion, Gail. With a name like Fran, most people assume I'm a woman, too. Nice way to get this started.

LOL Gail, While growing up I always wished I WAS a BOY name Sue. The brothers and cousins always made me be the nurse behind the lines when we played war. Boo, never got to shoot anything, just clean up the mess after the action. Couldn't change God's mind, so I live with it. :)

Hi Gail! I sympathize with Susan, as girls are in short supply in my family too. But my brothers let me shoot the guns and drive the cars and climb the trees. it was pretty hard to stop me! LOL i have done all the water tote'n and out house adventures. My little place has an outhouse(it's illegal so don't tell). I do have hot and cold running water from a faucet as well as a flush toilet now. I love my goats and tell them all my concerns. My chickens come next and have favorites there too. I am working on an orchard but my gardening has gone down to a few tomatoes and zuchinni plants. All the sons are grown and it's just me, the 3 dogs, and lots of cats. I work full time to help me get ready to retire and to help the youngest son get through college. I have a good time on my little homestead but miss my best friend who past away. He was a real character, a one of a kind crazy man who had a great sense of humor.

And then there is Lynn--same problem--my middle name is Sue--when Johnny Cash came out with that " boy Named Sue " song--it gave my classmates more jokes to come up with! :) I used to post under the name homesteadmama--changed ISPs' and had to change screenname--I live in the Pacific Northwest with my teenage sons, but been participating some and lurking alot around the forum since it started.

Hello Gail,Are you the Gail that moved from the northeast just recently? I remember your communications about making that move during the winter. It sounds like you are doing just fine here in the Ozarks. I live in them too, near Gaineville, Mo.
Sincerely,
Ernest
