In what ways was tuberculosis directly affecting Poe? How was his life related into his works in which he write, specifically, "The Fall Of The House Of Usher"?

What Tuberculosis has to do with E.A. Poe? Well, first of all, when Poe was just a little kid, his mom died of Tuberculosis. His mom ment a lot to him, so it was a great great loss to him. Then, when he found the love of his life, his wife, she ended up dying of Tuberculosis. Poe has had lots of loss with Tuberculosis in his life, so that pretty much explains it. "The Masque of the Red Death" (one of his short-stories) is a symbol to Tuberculosis. The red death refers to that disease, becuase when you have TB, you end up coughing up blood because your lungs are bleeding internally. So..that is basically the relationship TB and Poe's life.

tuberculosis killed Poe's real mother, step mother, 1st love, and his wife/cousin Virginia. this had a huge affect on Poe and his writings.

actually his first love died of leukemia. his mom, step-mom and wife died of tuberculosis.
