i have just been in oamaru and it sucked. my family are a bunch of loonies. the salvation army op-shop was closed, and my niece is a spoilt little brat who throws tantrums all the time, and i missed my friends terribly.

last night i had a nightmare that i was Dave in 2001: A Space Oddyssey and the aliens were making me get old. i was freaked out, you know how when you get freaked out from a bad dream and you pull all the covers around you tight just in case it wasn't a dream and they really are coming to get you? why are my dreams always so sci-fi? do i read too much sci-fi? am i becoming my flatmates? arghhh!

my keyboard is fixed. i am going to pick it up from cash converters today. its got "funny" and "cosmic" and a really nice organ sound just like the sound the guy from the terminals uses, and it has a built-in radio and twin tapedecks. is that wicked or what?

it annoyed them, cos it was this kinda party thing, and i have this terrible habit of taking over the record player at such functions, and only playing what i want to hear. so after one sleater-kinney record, i put on another one, followed by another one, etc, until their entire repertoire except the self-titled album had been played, and people started shoving me outta the way of the turntables. i don't blame them. it wasn't even my house.
