Am I, or am I not, seems to be the question. I have not been to a doctor or midwife yet, but all other physical signs point to a baby in August (right in the middle of canning season).

I am having a little bit of fun with this "nameless" thing (started by Melissa), but I assume most of you know who I am.

My children have talked names. The only qualification is that it has to be from the Bible. My 12-year-old clown suggested "Claudius Caesar". Other suggestions include John Newton (Amazing Grace) and Mary Anne (from Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel).

My husband brought home a big bag of bagels and some packages of cream cheese last night. I stayed up late reading a book and munching. This morning, the children remarked on how many bagels were missing (I only ate three!).

I cannot stand to be at the table when eggs are being served. I do not like to eat anything at all till evening. A spoonful of peanut butter swirled around in hot tea tastes good, but it makes the tea bitter. Don't give me sugary stuff, unless it's hot chocolate. Anything I eat leaves a nauseating after taste that can only be removed by really cold ice water.

I have probably bored some of you with this post, so I'll quit now. I'll offer non-nameless updates from time to time.

After naming my first 4 sons David, Jonathan, Stephen, and Jacob, my mother was taken aback, shall we say, that we named #5 Brandon! (Her children also got biblical names).

She asked me, rather incredulously, where did you get that name?? I told her right out of the baby name book. lol. It is fun playing with names, isn't it? I only got to name one girl. If I'd had more, I would have liked Hannah or Sarah.

We have two prophets in the family, Micah and Joel. For a girl's name, we went with something that's pronounced the same in both languages, Leila. Never mind that its meaning is "dark-skinned," and hers is milky white.

"Ardie" is a good name...not in the Bible that I know of...but it can be used for either a boy or a girl! :=)

If I had ever had kids "Arlyn" came to mind for a girl, "Arlin" for a boy. The second name would be something like Elizabeth which could be altered to Liz, or Beth or what idenity the child chose later in life.

My son's name is Luke we call him Luke the Duke I am a big John Wayne fan!! He has big sholders and wears a cowboy hat, and is a good hard worker, and I am so proud of him. He graduated last June was married in July and they own there own home which he bought 6 months before he got out of school. He gutted it and totaly remodeled it and it is beautiful inside with new hardwood floors. Now he is getting ready to start on the outside. I had put alittle money away for him as he grew up. Not much just 20.oo here and there but it came up to right at 4,000.oo I was going to give it to him for graduation. He talked me out of it early. He used half of it to put down on the house and half of it for sheetrock and insulation. I told him he had to live at home till he got out of school even tho he turned 18 in Oct and he did and if he did not graduate then he had to pay back the money because it was a graduation present. No graduation No present. Well he went to school full time, worked full time and worked on the house in what little time off he had. No time for him to get in trouble like his friends did LOL. He is my baby and no kids left at home now. Tho the house he bought is just 2 blocks away. You all started me remanissing about his upbringing when you were taking about baby names. I miss having a baby around but my son and daughter in law says I will have along wait. They don't plan to start a family for at least 5 years. Tho young at 19 they have been together for almost 4 years now. They are best friends and that is a good start.

"Nameless", I'm soooo excited!!!! Do you hear me hollaring all the way from Ky? I told you you would? I too like the name Hannah, or how about Emily or Sarah? I like Timothy for a boy. Of course I'm partial, my oldest sons name is Timothy. When he turned 13 he informed us his name was "TIM" not Timothy and Tim it's been ever since! Whatever name you decide on, be sure to think what nickname might be attached to it! I also like Mark and Luke, even Matthew!! Boy Bible names are easy to come up, girls are harder! I have a daughter named Theresa but of course we call her Terri. She just isn't a Theresa. Let us know what you decide on and I hope you are feeling ok. Get to the dr. soon!!!!

I like "Ardie" for a name-has lots of charector. My kids are Aaron (O.T.) Thomas(N.T.) and Rachel (O.T)Elizabeth(N.T.) I also love Hannah and Sarah. In my husband's family there is Mathew Mark and John and just to get the point a Christain, They didn't get around to Luke apparently.

For a long, long time cheese and crackers was the only thing I could handle.

Congratulations, nameless. I hope I wasn't prying too much in a previous thread!! Well I obviously was so I'm pleased you answered. We have a Christopher James, Charlotte Jayne and Williaam Jacob. Our reserve girls name was Abigail Jade.

I grew up with seven brothers and we all had nicknames. I never did like mine. Our first son was named for his grandpa, Allen. When an uncle first called him Al, he was told "His name is Allen". Today at 43, he is still Allen. You can't do much with the name Dale, our second. Our third was named Teresa. The same uncle tried to call her Terry and was informed "Her name is Teresa". Thirty-five years later, she still is Teresa.

For a boys name, I have a friend who's son is named Boaz. It fits him to a T. She liked the example set by Boaz in the Bible.
