How do I convert 320x240 mpeg with 29 framerate to make compliant with Nero. I have used TMPGen to convert framerate using inverse telecine and noise reduction in the advancded settings, however the audio becomes all crackly.(the audio sounded fine before) Any suggestions?

look in the tmpg folder and click on the template needed instead of changing parameters yourself. as for the audio? dont know but you could take the time to demux it and tweak the sound and remux it.

I'm not sure what you're doing, but TMPGenc's audio converter is mediocre. It usually works, but most people have abandoned it for something like Azid/Lame. Check out the Azid/Lame GUI at www.doom9.net. It's a lot harder to use than TMPGenc, but it can do very sophisticated sound conversions. I would generally recommend you demux, convert your video using TMPGenc, convert your audio using another tool like the Azid/Lame GUI, and remux using TMPGenc. Since your source is 320x240, I'm going to guess that you are downloading clips from some sort of peer to peer service. 320x240 is not valid for VCD and to convert it up to 352x240 NTSC or 352x288 PAL will result in some quality loss. If you know enough to use the Advanced settings in TMPGenc, you must know what you are doing, I just wanted to make sure you knew that 320x240 is not valid and you should expect some quality loss in going to a proper VCD resolution.
