I have mounted a 2' florescent light in the darkroom for general lighting, as I have this fixture and have no other use for it. I do also have a good 100 watt bulb over the fixer to help me see the final prints better.

The question is - do flrescent bulbs emit a dim light after they are turned off? I thought I saw some light when I tested the room for total darkness (for film loading) and have never used such a light in a darkroom before.
