I know where do I get these questions! I was reading Sunday's OT scripture from Isaiah and I said to my daughter "Gee I wish I could have spoken to Isaiah" then I came up with this question. I am always interested in hearing about one's faith journey. When I was a United Methodist minister the board of ordained ministry required that you discuss your faith journey with your local church to authenticate one's call. I find that by looking at our faith or spiritual journey we see the hand of God. So have fun with this question. Of course there is nor right or wrong answer. It will be fun to lift up people from the bible;-)

Intriguing question. The Bible character who mirrors my faith journey and personality would have to be Nehemiah. Why? He was a dutiful worker (Cupbearer for the King), focused on a project (Restoring the Walls of Jerusalem) and risk-taker (leaving the comfort of Babylon to return to war-torn Jerusalem). QED

I have to say the person I relate to most is Peter. In him we see how frail we can be; but we also see how the power of God can change us from being cowardly and walking the the power of the Holy Spirit.

I love Peter because even after his Holy Ghost experience we see that he was a mere man, standing to be corrected on issues. Remember when Paul had to rebuke him about his thoughts on evangilizing to Gentiles. And how God how to show him in a vision with the sheet that nothing God made is unclean.

I see in Peter stages of growth, shall I say neverending stages of growth in this Christian walk.

I had to think hard about this one. Best I can come up with is Paul because he traveled a journey to progressively higher heights with God. At the same time he agonized over personal sins and a mysterious "thorn".

God has also taken me onward and upward over the years, and it ain't over yet. Salvation, sanctification, baptism in the Holy Spirit, tongues, spiritual warfare, ever evolving ministries, God chasing, contemporary worship, city-wide prayer groups, the Cleansing Streams program, spiritual gifts...each a stepping stone that takes a person from glory to glory.

Brother Peter is the one I relate to most. I tend to be impulsive and want to attack a problem, sometimes with my own weapons. On one occasion in particular, I fought the devil with my weapons and was severely wounded, but God is good and He healed me, placed me in a position where others could minister to me and called me back to the battle, a wiser, more humble, and more useful to Him soldier.
