What is the best age to start breeding a female rabbit? I have two, and they are about 7-8 months old.

Some of this depends on the type of rabbit. Sexual maturity is a key factor. The rabbits I raise are a medium sized rabbit and can be breed at six months. Smaller rabbits can breed at an eariler age.

I usually begin breeding my does at about 6 months. What kind of rabbits are they, Jessica? If they are a larger breed (like New Zealands or Californians) they should be ready to breed. Some people wait until about 9 months, but if they've reached their adult weight, they should be fine to breed now.
