I did a chicken in the crock pot for the first time today. I put it on this morning and 8 hours later it was done. It was so good and the meat just fell off the bone. Not exactly like roast chicken out the oven though as is fell completely apart - but would definately cook it this way again.

Try adding rice and enough water or cream of chicken or celery soup .I love cooking in it , it's so easy !

Do you put in the rice the same time as the chicken, or do you cook the chicken for awhile and THEN add the rice?I just did a turkey breast in my crockpot a few days ago. I shredded it up (since it was falling apart anyway). Would make good tacos or Mexican lasagna, but it hasn't gotten that far yet -- I just reheat and eat!

I have been looking for a fudge recipe that makes very dark, rather dry candy that is not too sweet or sticky. It is so good with all kinds of nuts but is very good plain.
