I have Icelandics...and hope to build my flock. Have you checked the Isbona site for a breeders list???( Icelandic Sheep Breeders of North America) Just put in keyword Isbona and it should come up. That is how I found my sheep. good luck...they are a wonderful breed.

I have Icelandics and love them. However, I have been thinking of adding a Finn ewe to my flock for the multiple birth benefits. Since both are a northern breeds, so I thought it would be a good match. I am also interested in seeing what kind of fleece they produce. The advantage of the Icelandics over the Finn is that Icelandics are true seasonal breeder. As a result, I run my rams with the ewes until the end of September. I put them back together in December and separate them again about three weeks before lambing. Once the lambs are about two weeks old, I'll let the boys back in with the girls. Makes live easier.
