Hey ya'll, what do you and your families do as a tradition for christmas? Or what are some of your fondest memories?

This is sort of a little thing. My family has alot of traditions..but we have a tablecloth that I bought on my husband and my first Christmas together, (it is oatmeal colored cotton) and on Chritmas day everyone that comes to our house has to sign it (with a ball point pen) and then I embroider all the names after Christmas. I use a different color each year, and there is a "key" on one edge...like 1994 embroidered in green, etc... after all these years (and colors) it looks pretty neat. Everyone looks forward to signing it. I have the little children who can't write yet's mom sign for them and write how old they were that year. We have our son's childest writing, and our new daughter in laws's first time to Christmas recorded. We have friends who have moved away, and sadly...relatives who have passed away...it is really a keepsake..I would save it in a fire.

When me and my sister and all our cousin were young, on an evening before Christmas eve, we would all get together so we could make candy, cookies, etc for Christmas baskets. Santa always showed up. He always brought a small present for each of us and we set on his lap and everything. Well many years have gone by and Santa has gone to his reward, but we still get together with our children. We thought it was croweded with 16 of us(altogther-Aunts,Uncles etc.)Now adding our own children and some spouses we total 33. Our kids have never got to see Santa like we did, but the love and laughter is still there. Maybe next year we can find a Santa.
