Did I tell you guys what my sweet husband did for a snowplow? It is quite ingenius, IMHO. He took an old lawnmower, that was no longer "lawn mowing"...took off all the engine components and the blades. He then took a piece of metal; in this case it was a diamond-plate something or other; and he cut it aprox. 6 inches by 20 inches, and curved it a little bit and attached it to the front of the lawnmower. Thus making a "push snow plow". We use this to shove snow off the large patio we have. You can use any piece of metal you have laying around, and there are lots of dead mowers out there for the taking! In His Grace, Sissy

S.S.B., I had to chuckle when reading your post. Ok on the ingenius part but I can tell your shure not from snow country. That wouldn't get very far after one of our typical snow storms here in northern Mich.

Hi, We are in Flagstaff. No, I don't imagine we have the snow you do! We get it in spurts, and only one time last winter did it snow so hard that we couldn't use this plow because the snow was too deep. That was a good 16 inches though. But, for those small snow dumps of upto a foot, this works wonderfully! In His Grace, Sissy

I got a real shock when I found that up in that Michigan snow country they sell this special broom/shovel contraption for getting the snow off your roof. That's SERIOUS bizzzzzeness.

My Dad did the same thing.....he uses it for clean up after he plows. We are in Northern Michigan.
