This was a pretty good week until today. I had planned to go with my daughter on her field trip but she woke up with a fever-not too bad, but enough to cancel our trip. Then, just a while ago I heard where a local factory plans to cut out two-hundred jobs-this will be a pretty big blow for our community. This week I have seen two going out of buisness signs-I guess the bad economy is starting to hit here. Lastly I was sad to hear the passing of George Harrison-I have always been a huge Beatles fan, and while they did a lot of things I didn't care for (mostly drug use) I think thier music-and particually Harrisons was great-I liked thier peace and love songs so much more than some of the violent rap junk they have now.

Sorry Kelly, hope things are going better tomorrow. I just hate it when my kids are sick. The job situation here is not good either. They are supposed to decide by Monday if they are going to shut down the prison. It employs a lot of people and pays well, if it shuts down our economy is going to be in big trouble locally.

Hope your daughter is feeling better. Seems lot of lay-offs happen around Christmas, especially this year. George Harrison was my favorite Beatle. I was really into their music the first few years, then my tastes changed. He'll be missed. Hope tomorrow is a happier day for you. God Bless

George was quite a guy. Very likable. No facades.Did you know that George was a "Traveling Wilbury". (Ironic name for the boys as, they probably added there tracks separately or in clusters in various studios).
The group : Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra)
George Harrison
Roy Orbison
Tom Petty
Bob Dylan (I'm 99 per cent sure)

Rick-Bob Dylan was definatly a Wilbury-I love those recordings! I think my husband told me (he's a HUGE music fan) that they did in fact record the first T.W. album together, however, they had to do some tracks seperetly becuase of the passing of Roy Orbison-another sad day for me.
