I can't believe that two of the Beatles are gone now! I can still vividly remember watching them on the Ed Sullivan Show...way back when. So sad, but like that song says...heaven has a hell of a band!!

I can't believe it either. When you are young it seems that things will always stay the same. The Beatles would always be alive! I was terribly saddened when John was shot but that wasn't a natural passing. So I didn't look at it so much as time passing. So now George goes and it's from health problems which affect so many. I just saw Paul in an interview the other day and he looked so much older to me. So I guess I'm coming to realize that we aren't invincible. We all succomb to death at some point.

So I guess it means "times are a changin". It's probably not too unlike what my grandparents and those before them have experienced. I'm sure they had institutions like the Beatles in their day. But we don't hardly remember them now. So unfortunately to me it's the beginning of the end of an era.

Sorry to be so depressing.

That's okay, Denise -- it IS depressing! I am tripley depressed about George dying: [1]Another Beatle gone, [2] despite advancing age, dying before 60 is TOO YOUNG, and [3] he was MY favorite Beatle. This sucks.
