We have a baby girl!!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread |
I have finally had a few minutes to log on. Our daughter Abigayle was born on November 16th weighing in at 9lbs 10oz.She and I are doing great. I am actually getting more sleep now than when I was pregnant. Nursing is going very well and she is only getting up once in the middle of the night for about one hour which is really manageable.
Hope to post again soon.

Oh! Babies are truly the most wonderful gift from God! I am so very happy for you and your family. Our grandchild here in Alabama is due to arrive anytime in the next two weeks and I cannot contain myself! This will be the first grandchild out of three that I live close enough to actually SEE more than once a year..yippeeeeee..What a lovely name you have chosen! God bless.

Congratulations Silvia! I just love babies too. I would give anything to have one to hold again. They are just so precious. I used to sit and hold mine for hours on end, I just couldn't put them down! Give her a hug from me!!!

Congratulations Silvia. I remember those days well. You are very lucky to only have to get up once in the night though. My first was restless at night, but my second was like your little darling. Enjoy your special moments. Iris

Silva, God's blessings upon your family. One of the best pieces of advice we received when our first child was born 18 plus years ago was, "Enjoy it!"

How wonderful! She is a whopper just like my babies! First one was 9 lb, 14 and a half oz. Second one was 9 lb, 10 and a half oz. Lots of warm wishes coming your way!

Congratulations Silvia!!!!! :o) We have five and they were big babies too. You had a big girl, but they start out healthy that way. Thank God!! Enjoy each and every minute. I kept a journal along with the baby book. It is nice for the child to read when they are older. (I would write down current events, some items they made, traced their hand or foot, prayers for them...) God bless you and your wonderful new little one.

Congratulations on your new blessing! Your baby weighed more than two of mine! LOL My last two weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 4 lb. 1 oz. I agree with the advice to "Enjoy it". Believe me, they do grow up way too soon. As my daughter told me when she was little, "You better talk to me now before I get old enough to not want to talk to you." Out of the mouths of babes!

Dear Sylvia, Babies are wonderful no matter what size they are but big babies are so easy to deal with they are almost like a big puppy sometimes.Big babies run in our family too my son weighed in at 11lb. 14oz. and my daughter at 9lb. 3oz. I didn't get to have a natural birth with either but just getting a healthy baby was all that mattered. They are grown now with children of their own and the grands are great too.
Blessings to you are yours and enjoy. Sally
