If you were writing a movie based on Poe's life would it have to be two hours of sheer depression? What uplifting events could you script to make the viewer feel a little happy?

Crab cakes. Poe was quite fond of them. Eating crab cakes gave him some of the happiest moments of his life. Also Chesapeake Bay oysters. The little ones.
