Bin Ladin Admits To Attacks

He basically takes responsibility for planning the attacks in this latest interview.

I'm reminded that back in September, anytime anyone said, "Bin Ladin is responsible," someone would pipe in with, "I haven't seen the proof." I said then, and I say now, that there was plenty of proof. And now, he essentially admits it.

So, there you go.

And on the Home Front: reporters asked Rumsfeld today (in essense) if we would let up on Taliban soldiers as they ran like chickens from Kabul. Rumsfield looked honestly surprised at the question, and I can imagine what he was thinking: "are these people REALLY so clueless about how a war is waged?"

His composure in answering such nonsense is to be commended. I don't think I would have been quite so patient.

It isn't newsy chic to admit that once in awhile war is a good idea. Better to use proven ratings boosters like doubt and fear and always leave 'em going "oooooooh" & coming back for more...commercials. Test the wind Tony is pretty vocal.

Oh, I'm not so sure about war being a good idea, necessary idea perhaps.

Killing the enemy is a good idea though, and shooting him in the back as he runs away like a chicken is a better idea yet, as him shooting back is made dificult by that position.

You may have seen this elsewhere; diagrams of skyscrapers with detailed plans showing angles of attack were found amongst homes used by supporters of Bin Ladin in Afghanistan.

The Taliban was forced to run so quickly, I guess they didn't have time to burn all of them ...
