Thanks for responding Millers and Teresa! Yes as far as country siders go,all you from Tehama could probably teach me a thing or two. Years back I used to read the Mother Earth News and I really need to get back in touch with the creative countryside Ideas that used to fill my head. As of now I am in Magalia,I work in Chico and I want to share Ideas and Barter......

What kind of things do you like to barter for? Barter is quite a bit of fun. Last year for our extra persimmons we bartered all the peaches we needed for this year (our peach trees are still young) we got about 40 lbs of dried prunes, 15-20 lbs of shelled almonds and one nice lady baked us a cake that was just wonderfull. A gentleman is smoking his salmon today and is trading us some for our extra persimmon tomorrow. I can't wait to have that for dinner!!!

It would be nice to have more people to barter with around here.
