I am writing a term paper on megachurches in the African American community. I am seeking information on the megachurches in the AME Church. Megachurches are churches with congregations over 3000. I am asking for information on the history of the church, the date it became a megachurch, what were the identifiable factors that moved the church to megachurch level, types of ministries and organization structure beyond what is in the discipline. What processes are in place to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation? Any information available and returned by November 12, 2001 is appreciated. In His Service.

Hi, Roxanne good luck with your paper. Perhaps the board members can help Roxanne with the names of some of our megachurches, then she can contact the churches directly. Roxanne please share some of your information with us on the board. We would love to hear from you.
