OG, AOL is not a free email. Many people really do use it for their ISP (including my in-laws even though I tried to convince them otherwise).

Unfortunately, because aol has been so generous with its free samples, we have to consider it a "free" one. Two of the worst trolls we know, and probably others, use aol.

Well, I have to agree that aol does nothing to stop spammers either. I have submitted a number of emails to them and still get spam from those same addresses.

When we were having severe problems on the old board (like the eigh-hour marathon one night where Ed and I deleted around 2,000 posts), aol simply ignored our complaints, even though a good number of people on the forum filed individual complaints.

AOL = A**holes on Line. Unfortunately, at one of my jobs, I have to deal with people attempting to send Word files through that system. When one sends more than one attachment in an email, the AOL server automatically "Zips" the files. This means that if one doesn't have the proper software to unzip it, the attachments can't be read, which means email back to the sender and much wasted time. I once said that I wouldn't even date a man who used AOL as his primary acc't.
