Updated on 11/5/2001 12:00:46 PM KARACHI (Online): The bodies of ten US troops killed during battle with Taliban fighters have reportedly been brought to the Shahbaz Air Base by military helicopters with their lights off on Sunday night.Reports reached here from Jacobabad suggest that the bodies of these US soldiers were brought to the air base for initial preparations to freeze them so that they could be sent back to US.
"Huge American military helicopters landed at the base with lights off and they were guided by the light shells so that the residents could not observe the landing of foreign military helicopters," sources were quoted as saying.
The bodies, sources added, later had been flew back to Karachi from where they would probably be sent to the United States.
The Shahbaz air base has been using by the US troops for logistical support however the government denies it.
The reports could not be confirmed immediately as no official was available.
