Since this board is read by many very strong communicators of the A.M.E. faith, I thought this would be an appropriate avenue for recruitment. I am serving on the Workshop Committee for the upcoming Connectional CED Leadership Congress that will be held in Charlotte, NC in July 2002. Currently we are in need of individuals to serve as presenters/facilitators for the various planned workshops. So far the response has been slow, but I know God always has a ram in the bush, i.e. AME-Today discussion board. yes, as far as I know there has been no change in location. I saw the postings on the discussion board voicing concerns about patronizing the Adam's Mark chain. I would suggest that Dr. Hill the Department head be contacted by those individual with concerns. I belive prior to the most recent legal issues, a lot of african-american companies were using them due to the earlier issue and therefore the Adam's Mark was giving below market rates to attract African American groups.

Greetings. I attended and led a workshop on the Allen Christian Endeavor at Congress 1998 in Toronto and we are looking forward to coming to Charlotte, also. I would possibly be interested if there are topics for which I feel qualified and comfortable leading; so far,there's only one - in the adult category.

I have the nicely prepared brochure - For which topics do you need presenters? Do you know why there are so few choices in workshops for the youth and children this time around - or are there others planned which were not listed. There are only 4 topics for youth, plus one period for choir; 7 for children, but 17 for adults -- and I think the adult attendance is less than that of youth and children. Also, it seems that some more relevant topics could be offered for the kids.
