i would like know how nikon's nikkor lens are classified,they have different name,eg AF,AF-S,AF-DC,AF-I....etc

AF = autofocus AF-S = autofocus with Silent Wave motor mounted in lens AF-DC = autofocus with defocus control AF-IS = autofocus with image stabilization

there is no such thing like AF-IS in nikon line; AF-I lenses are big teles with AF motors (but not silent wave type) in them.

There is no such thing as "IS" (Image Stabilization) in the Nikon product line - that's strictly Canon's domain.

Nikon does have a "VR" (Vibration Reduction) lens, an 80-400mm, that only works on the newer Nikon bodies. (The Canon "IS" works on all EOS bodies.)
