Countrysiders, Several years ago there was an article on making beeswax lip balm in Countryside. In the same magazine there was a place listed where you could order small tins to put the lip balm in. I have looked and looked I can't find it. Thanks for your help, Lori Ab-Ka-LO@ckt.net

Lori, I have found those containers at our local Dollar store for 4 for a dollar. They call them pill boxes and have very pretty pictures on them.

Majestic Mountain Sage,(435-755-2108) I make lip balms and buy the tubs from them. Beeswax is good in the balms, plus it helps promote my hives too!!!

Snowdrift Farms has high quality essential oils, not just flavors like other oil companies, and not 'perfume quality' (artificially created) scents. Their prices for the quality are the best I have seen. Ask for a paper catalog and you will get some recipes. Check out their site which is really good for beginners.

Lori, I too am making beeswax lip balm. I have searched the internet and found several sites. I haven't ordered yet as I am still searching. Now, I have a few more that I will look at thanks to posters above. Where do you get your beeswax? Does anyone know of a reputable source? I have purchased some on ebay and was pleased with what I received but was looking for a place I could order direct. Some of the sites I have looked at are: stuffjulielikes.com or zenithsupplies.com and betweenfriendstoo.com. These have the cheapest prices so far but I will have to look at the others mentioned. Shipping is always something to consider in the cost also.

Please be careful when claiming that some product "cures" some condition--unless you have clinical proof (not "my friends swear by it"), you can get in big trouble with the FDA and other authorities.

If you have to keep reapplying the product, it is perhaps relieving symptoms but not "curing" the condition. Just a thought.
