Hi,

We are trying to do everything as organically and ethically responsibly as we can on our small farm. We are interested in planting a few fruit bearing trees here in Virginia. Does anyone know of a site that sells organic fruit trees.

Celeste, I admire your organic wants---however, you might consider that when you buy a young fruit tree it will be several (4-10) years before they fruit. Plenty of time there for you to organically baby them and any pesticide, etc. to wear off. I imagine a lot less expensive to buy plain heirloom trees in the initial investment vs. organic, as it is not unusual to suffer losses of new fruit trees due to weather, animal damage, bad location, etc.

The website for Fedco seeds is www.fedcoseeds.com but as of yesterday, they did not have the 2002 catalog for trees on there yet. They said it will be available by the end of October, so keep checking!
