Auburn Whips Florida!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Poole's Roost II : One Thread |
http://www.msnbc.com/news/642586.aspThe state was down after the Crimson Tide lost earlier today, but Auburn pulled off a spectacular upset. Florida has beat its last 5 opponents by an average of 40 points.
Auburn fans have been complaining for some time that their team isn't getting the respect that it deserves. Maybe this'll wake up some of the sportswriters who vote in the AP poll.
Hey, the Hogs whupped up on USC, too!

Well, it was a day for upsets.Colorado beat Texas A&M, Wisconsin squeaked past Ohio State, Washington State beat Stanford and Texas Tech (Texas Tech!) was on Kansas State like a cheap suit.
Our local braintrust is convinced that UCLU should ranked higher than it is. They also think that Oklahoma should probably be number 1.
But man, that Auburn win just FEELS good. War Eagle! :)

Flint,Yup. We had predicted Oklahoma, Auburn and UCLA to win, too ... but they didn't. In fact, Arkansas SLAMMED Auburn.
It really is true that the 2nd half of the college season is the best.
