The Peace that passes all understandinggreenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread |
During these turbulent times, world trade center, bombing, anthrax out breaks, and bombing in Afghanistan. There are Peace Rallies being held throughout our country. What does scripture say to us about Peace, what does it say about war. The word Peace is taken from the Hebrew "Shalom" which talks about an inner peace that is undescribable. A peace that passes all understanding, we know as Christians that our belief in Christ provides that type of peace. Are you feeling peaceable with Christ during these times?

Last Sunday our Pastore preached a wonderful encouraging message about peace. He said how today people need to realize they can have peace and the Church is their connection. His text was from II Cor 4th chapter. The sermon reminded me of a song God gave me a few years ago. We call it Feed My Sheep.
"There's a message of hope for a dying world be reconciled to God and live. But the world may never know if this gospel we keep hid Jesus placed this treasure in us to be shared.
Jesus ask...Do you Love me Do you really love me The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few My lamb need fed, My sheep need fed God is depending on You
We love you Lord Surely you know we Love you Lord And through us salvation's message will be spread And the world will surely know how much you love us here below Jesus shed is precious blood on Calvary
Jesus said ...Do you love me Do you really love me The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few My lamb need fed, my sheep need fed God is depending on you."
This internet has been a wonderful tool for encouragement to me. I am realizing every day, my responsibility to prove to Jesus how much I love him. His word says "for as much as you've done to the least of these little ones you've done it unto me." I have a responsibility to share a message of hope to a hopeless people.
Rev. Rogers, we appreciate your ministry.
In Christ, Carmen
