ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - The Taliban's official Voice of Shariat radio said Monday that U.S.-led attacks on the Afghan capital Kabul overnight had caused no casualties or material damage in the city. The radio, monitored by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), said the air strikes had only boosted morale in the country and Afghanistan would fight ``to its last breath of life.''
Earlier, the Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press reported at least 20 people had died in the attacks unleashed to punish Kabul for harboring Saudi-born fugitive Osama bin Laden, prime suspect for the September 11 attacks in the United States.
``There has not been any human or material damage yet,'' the radio said at 0730 local time (0330gmt).
It praised the country's army and said its morale had been boosted by the attacks.
``The well-organized and brave army of the Islamic Emirate will defend its Muslim nation and each meter of the country to its last breath of life,'' it said.
