The current and recent seasons are rebuilding seasons for the Irving Cowboys. After many successful seasons in the mid-1990s for the Dallas Cowboys, there was some concern at the Dallas Chamber of Commerce that Corporations would think that Dallas Teams were "picking" on lessers foes. In turn, that might lead to problems in their major role in life, that of working in the City of Dallas Marketing Department.
Meanwhile to take up the slack, the Mavericks and Stars can be found still working for Dallas in their brand new home, the American Airlines Alliance Center.
