Does anyone here blend their own herb teas? What kinds of herbs do you use?

Little Bit Farm, We do not blend them but, we do forage for wild herbs to make tea with. My favorite is wild spearment which grows along the creek here on my land. We just steep them green in hot water for a few minutes and add some honey,mmmmm! We forage for red clover, which is a great blood cleanser when made into a tea. We also grow our on chamomille, california poppies, feverfew, fenugreek and comfrey for making teas. Fenugreek is very bitter and is used more as a medicine that a beverage. California poppies are great for anixety attacks and feverfew is great for asthma. Sincerely, Ernest

I have found some red clover seed pods here I am planning on harvesting. What part of the clover do you use for tea?

My two favorite teas in winter are lemon balm with a touch of honey, and chocolate mint with some red clover blossoms. I also make bergamot tea and several other mints. I use sweet woodruff to sweeten sometimes. I need to try some new combinations and would love to hear what others do. My oddest tea is that I occasionally like a sage tea with maple syrup in it. It's a very strong tea and I really have to be in the mood for it!

I actually enjoy a cup of goldenseal tea just for the taste. It is a very bitter tea, but it has grown on me. I started drinking it for health, but once in a great while I simply enjoy a cup. It is not wise to do this all the time if you are not ill, as it is very active in the body. A cup once a month won't hurt though. It is wonderful if you are coming down with a stomach ailment. One cup when nausea or diarreah begins and it usually nips it in the bud. It is a staple in my medicine chest.
