Thanks and God bless you, LittleBit. I haven't posted much on CS for awhile, but continued to lurk. I think I will delete it from my favorites list from here on out. I came home from work early today. My boss was fuming about the fact that Mr. Bush sounded wimpy last night because of all the "God Bless America" he threw in. She knows I'm a Christian and I calmly told her I found that remark insulting, that I sincerely hoped God would bless America and I was glad my president said that. She got quiet, I got busy, finished my work, and came home. I wonder how much longer I will have a job.

Hi Little Bit,

I'm kind of new, so Idon't know everything about the Countryside forum. Have you had posts deleted on that forum? If so, what type of posts were deleted?

Anybody else have posts deleted?

I have had mostly religious posts removed. I guess they are currently removing both religious and political posts. Welcome to the forum. It would be real nice if everyone would take a minute and submit one question, so that we can have some threads up and running for people to read.

Good luck with your new forum, Little Bit. I'll look forward to reading and posting. I clicked it into my "favorites" as I couldn't find it by clicking onto Lusenet.

Wishing you enough.

Good for you Melina!! I am proud of our president too. I am also thankful for his quoting of Psalms. It was such a blessing to me, and I have a feeling our terrorists certainly didn't like it.

Hello Little Bit farm, I am not a Christian nor am I Jewish but, when the President quoted Psalms it brought with it a comfort. The President wanted to offer comfort to as many people as he possibly could and I think he was successful in that respect. I am sorry that people critize any attempt to be spoke to from quotations from the Holy Bible. It is sad that there are so many people out their that have failed as Christians, that have caused many to rebuke the religion entirely. I see no problem with anyone's attempt to comfort another person by offering them comforting words from the book(s) that have also comfort them in times of sorrow. I do wish that those that have such a "hang up" with Christians would take a moment and think of the positive things they have offered to this world. I honestly believe that if Jesus Christ had not come at the time that he did serving as a "pressure release valve" for mankind, that civilization might of perished by the middle ages (dark ages). Sure, I have my reasons why I am not a Christian but, none of it has to do with the morals of Jesus Christ or the teachings of his early followers. The intention of Jesus, as with many of the founders of religions has usually been to ensure peace among their followers. Spiritually, Morally, Phyically they show you the way. If a person has found peace with his or her "savior", he or she are only sharing with others what they believe to work in that attainment of that peace. Nothing more. Everyone should read the Holy Bible and....they should also read the Holy Scriptures of OTHER religions as well. Leave your critism behind as you read each book and just absorb the truths that each religion has to offer. Open your mind to "another religion's point of view" and stop saying that your's is the only TRUE religion. Someone once said, there is only one God but, a thousand ways to worship him. Then let it be that way. What another person says to me in attempt to comfort me is taken just like first aid. He/she is trying to help me feel better. It works only if that is his/her intention. However, if his/her intention is to convince me that all religions are wrong except theirs, then I will build a wall around their words and create a fortress with mine. Comforting is comforting regardless of the words that are used to do so. Sincerely, Ernest

Welcome to the Forum Ernest. I am just curious, what is it that you don't believe about Christianity? We all see things from different views. I am just trying to understand yours.

Hello Little Bit Farm, For starters I do not believe in Heaven or Hell, I believe in past lives. Sincerely, Ernest

Currently I'm still a Christian. Not a very good one at times, but I try. I'll stick around here for a spell and see how it pans out.

Kiitos, Uriah
