In a team project where solutions are not coming and the deadline is near, what is the best approach as a team leader?

1) Create a diversion to reduce fatigue (ex. go to the movies?)

2) Immediately regroup and concentrate harder on the matter at hand?

I am trying to collect some research data for a project and would appreciate any insight you could give me.
