OK, y'all. I can't finish my AMB SAL caboose until I have the answer to this question. When did the SAL begin to paint caboose handrails yellow? Thanks, Jim Roquemore

Bill, According to Mike Canaday,writing the assembly instructions for the AMB caboose model, the safety slogans were added on December 23, 1953. These slogans were to be painted to the right of the herald 8 inches below and centered on the side windows in 4 inch letters with a 4 inch spacing between lines.
