tunis sheep breeders in Va.greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
We here at Look-Away Farm( a work in progress), have two registered Tunis ewes. We want to breed them this Dec. but can't find any breeders near us in S.W. Va. Does any one know of a breeder in this neck of the woods? How about a breeder who does artificial insemination. That way distance wouldn't be a problem. THANKS!!!! Hi Gregory!I live in the Wytheville area and have been shocked to find that despite all the farms here, don't think they have much in the way of anything around here! We just moved here and am having an awful time locating livestock breeders, tractor dealers (there is only one in town that sells used tractors), hay dealers, feed stores and someone to bush hog. Let me know if you know of any of those in this area. If I come across a Tunis breader I will be sure and let you know! Thanks!

I have Tunis sheep for sale, breeding age ewes, rams, ewe lambs, all registered, but am in southern New York State. For your information, there is a sheep farm in Wytheville. Virginia that has Tunis as well as Horned Dorsets,http://www.angelfire.com/va/horneddorsetsheep. We have bought the horned dorsets from them and they are very reputable breeders. My web site is www.sheepyvalley.com.if you want to see our little homestead and the sheep.

Thanks for the responses. I visited the site you mentioned Kate but saw no sign of Tunis sheep. Guess I'll have to contact them soon.
