Hey, anyone remember the animated show C.O.P.S.? That used to be a favorite of mine; I'd forgotten about it for years til it came up on this board. It was set in the year 2050, or thereabouts... I still remember the tagline, "fighting crime in a future time!" Heh... also, there was one ep about a cat burglar, named Nightshade (I looked it up), and her Aeon-and-Trevor-esque romance with a police officer... I think she did acrobatics, too (through laser bars? maybe). Probably nothing close to Aeon, but I'd love to see it again. Also, I remember an anime series, directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, about criminals recruited into the police force. It was pretty good, had heavy action, some neat futuristic settings and this he-she-it character... ring any bells?

Do you remember the name of the series by Kawajiri? I love all his stuff and if he and Chung collaborated on a project I can't imagine anything topping that.I remember the show Cops. Chung did the opening animation sequence. I wasn't aware of chung at the time I was into the show since I was kinda young, but it would be interesting to see the opening again. He is one of the few artists who's work you can immediately recognize by its motion regardless of the character designs.

I looked it up on IMDB. It's name was "Cyber City Oedo", and there were only 6 episodes made. You *can* get the whole thing on DVD, tho... Chung working with Kawajiri? Believe it or not, that might happen...

Dr. Badvibes! Big Boss! fat guy with slicked-back black hair wore white suits and talked like stereotypical gangster yea, see? yea , one episode Dr. Badvibes made a white suit out of a dirt resistant cloth he had developed, had Big Boss put it on then threw a bucket of dirt at him to demonstrate it!

C.O.P.S! Central orginization of police specialists! i just watched it again. there's definately some similarities to the visual designs of environments in flux. it's almost like getting a hint at the flux universe that was to come.
