Hi All! I recently have bought samsaung cd writer( 32x / 8x). can i write my own vcd with this or i need to have some special softwere for that. I have adaptec EZCD 4.0 for music cds and data cds. What should I do for creating my own perfact vcd? Is there any freewere for the same, Just let me know. Thanks, Viral Mehta

Of curse you do!... You must have Tmpgenc 12i or Nero 5

You should go to the following web sites and do as much research as possible on the subject of creating your own VCDs: www.vcdhelp.com www.doom9.net www.labdv.com www.digital-digest.com There is freeware available for making VCDs, but burning software is not free.

Nero provides a free 1x speed trial version of the Nero burning software. I haven't tried it but know it is out there. In my experience, Nero is the best software to write VCD's

nero 6 is crap...yu get as far as 30 bmp images and it comes up internal error nero closes...if yu do entire folder of pictures the bloody thing comes up not responding...you just waste precious time on a stupid program that fails to work...if thats what their demo is like...dont bother purchasing the full program ..you will be wasting your money

Sounds like your OS is screwed neil. Nero 6 (full version) performs flawlessly in my experience.
