Two basics on which most Buddhists agree are:
- The Three Jewels
- The Buddha
- The Dharma
- The Sangha
- The Four Noble Truths
- There is dukkha
- There is a cause of dukkha
- There is an end to dukkha
- The way to end dukkha is to follow the Eightfold Path
What question(s)/comment(s) do you have on any of these basic beliefs?
What answers or further comments do you have?

Good point,. You know, right?, that this is an adjunct to a book, which takes great care to do so -- but it slipped my attention in posting it in cyberspace. Hopefully, it will be ameliorated when I develop the web pages here in Dharma Door for each of these iitems. Meanwhile, Buddha, from budh (Sanskrit), to awaken; the one who awakened, and who awakens us in this life. Dharma, meaning truth, and the way to the truth (or, to put it another way, the truth, and all that to which it pertains); also, the teaching of the Buddha. Sangha is the community, the community that lives by the dharma.
Dukkha is translated as everything from dissatisfactory to anguish, pain and suffering, grief. Dissatisfaction might be good enough.
