The epic Big Hill map project was completed late this past July. It was the area that some believed could never be mapped, but now it has been anyway. The area features some of the best of the highly runnable McKechnie Meadow terrain, but contrasts that with some raging bottomland torrents carefully concealed beneath veils of impressively unpassable willow jungle, boulder strewn granite gravel ridges soaring into the sky of dizzying gradients, and as much of the highly sought after and very rare brittlebush/sage patch terrain as we could cram in. Plus it also has a big hill, of course!

A generous interpretation of the form lines atop the hill would yield a total height of about 15m, from base to summit. I know that doesn't sound like much, but in so many ways it's like the Ames Monument - you just have to see it for yourself to truly gain the proper amount of appreciation and respect it deserves.
