What is the best tank protector option for an F4?greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
Has anyone physically seen or purchased the CRC tank protector that is shown on the "special parts" website? It has a carbon look but is probably just plastic or something. There is also a company that makes a magnetic one but I have not heard any news about how well it stays put. I guess I am not that psyched to glue/stick one on the tank if the magnetic one works well. Thanks for any feedback. Later!

I like lockhartphillipsusa.com's clear tank protector. Keeps the nice red tank in full view. Which I will sadly cover with a magnetic tank bag.

check out the Casoli Moto website, their tank guard is a contoured carbon one and actually fits very well, in fact it is one of the few parts of theirs that does!!

Magnetic tank protectors do not work for the MV as the tank is made out of aluminum. Your best bet is either the Casoli tank protector in carbon, or look at the new protectors with actual carbon fiber that lockhart phillips has. They are acutally pretty nice and easy to install and remove.

The CRC tank protector is actually a resin plastic (kind of like the 3M bumpstop material), with a carbon look. It actually fits pretty well (most other stick on tank protectors you'll have to cut or get a shorter one as the tank on the MV is not very tall in that area.About USD20 from my local dealer.
