paper developers/optimal for Ilford warmtone mg/rcgreenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Printing & Finishing : One Thread |
I am curious about the variety of experimentation that may have been done with paper developers and Ilford warmtone RC/MG paper. What I am looking for is someone with consistent results using their favorite paper developer. That developer may be packaged or of their own mix. I use Edwal Ultra Black on the strong side and have been happy with that. Any offerings?Mike

Hi Mike, I have been searching all over town and can't find Edwals' Ultra Black anywhere. Could you tell me where you get it? Thanks!!

Hi again, I forgot to add that I use a two bath developer. First 2 minutes in Selectol soft 68degrees diluted 1:2 and then the second bath in Dektol same temp diluted 1:4 for 1.5 minutes. Works great!

I love the look of Ilford warmtone RC developed in Ethol LPD 1:4 for 2 min at 68 degrees.

Another vote for LPD 1:4.

Ethol LPD 1:2 to 1:4 works great.
