In the 2nd Quarter 2001 Issue, page 8, is an ACL color coded map. LGoolsby has informed me that the color coding is for separate districts within the Northern Division. My questions are these: does anyone in membership land know of other similar Division maps for ACL? How about similar maps for SAL, GA, A&WP, WRofA, and CRR? If such division maps are available, how can I obtain them?

Answers

As for Division maps of the GaRR, A&WP and WofA - there aren't any. The GaRR was operated as one division. The A&WP and WofA were operated as a single-division railroad, and therefore had no "Division Maps" as such. A system map for these roads is essentially a division map.

I believe the Clinchfield was also operated as a single division.

I've had very good luck on eBay. It takes time--it's not like ordering through a store or mail order company--but over a few years' time, I've found ETTs and various other historical documents, usually for reasonable prices.
