Worming information (Goats)greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
An excellent site with pictures of anemia and bottlejaw. Also a good list of wormers, please note the goat dosages and not the directions on the bottles she has listed: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/2178/worms.htmlVicki

What about the no withdrawal time for milk on the Eprinex (Ivomec)? Is that one given orally? I didn't know Sulfas and pennicillan should not be mixed. Thanks Vicki.

Now I didn't say I agreed with all the information :) It is a good site though. I don't believe for an instance that you can give these meds extra label like this and not have some withdrawal. But the dosages are excellent. We also give all our wormers orally to get rid of stomach worms, the only wormer we use in another way besides orally is Ivermectin which we will inject at the 1cc per 110 pounds to get lice, mites and nose bots. The classic warning for NEVER using Valbazen on a doe who you even think may be bred is on there, you can tell she has meat stock from the casual way she then gives milk withdrawal information. But great pics. This bottle jaw thing must be a regional problem as even in the most horrid rescue stock we haven't see it. The anemia photos are excellent! Vicki

Yep, I did learn some "interesting" places to look for skin tone! I have always just went straight for the gums!
