Kitchen Renovation with Chambers Gas Stove

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I am going to be completely remodeling the kitchen in the 1920's house I am buying. I am hoping to find a Chambers gas stove, but am concerned about the necessary 'clearance' they need. How much space do I need between the stove and the cupboards / walls / other appliances?

Michelle, I don't know the answer. But here is a site that may help you out: http://www.theoldroadhome.net/

If you are still looking for a Chambers well stove , a "C' model, I believe I may know someone who may have one to sell . It's beautiful and fully functioning .

Yes, I am still looking. Where is the stove located and how much are they asking for it? Do you, by any chance, have any pictures you could email me? Thanks!

1.- try E-bay. Very frequently there are Chambers or O'Keefe and Merritt stoves. O'Keefe and Merritt are similar in quality to Chambers, but just a little jazzier in a 1940's kind of way. 2.-use www.google.com to search by the names.
